Description
Zoo Negara Malaysia (known as the National Zoo of Malaysia), officially opened in November 1963, is a sprawling open-concept zoo cherished by both Malaysian citizens and tourists that covers 110 acres. Situated a mere 5 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur's city center, this zoo is home to over 5,137 animals representing 476 species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
Zoo Negara Malaysia is cleverly divided into various zones, each replicating the natural habitat of different animal species. You'll find attractions like the Bird Aviary, Ape Centre, Bear Complex, and the exciting Children's World, where you can easily lose track of time.
Make sure not to miss a visit to the Panda Centre, where you can meet the two giant pandas, Xing Xing and Liang Liang. Besides this, visitors can enjoy popular multi-animal shows, animal feeding sessions, and a host of other exciting experiences during their visit.
